Final Friday Speakeasy May 25th

 

This show is a vision of the 1920's made possible by a handful of Portland's best emerging artists coupled with the toe tapping sounds of the Rose City Banjoliers with the Washboard Dears and Inspirational Beets. Rose City Banjoliers will play from 7:30 PM-8:15 PM and Inspirational Beets will play from 8:30 PM -10:00 PM.

The Rose City Banjoliers have been gracing the ears of Portland for 30 years. They have played at the Portland Rose Festival Starlight Parade, the Pendleton Roundup and toured in California, Washington and Idaho. www.rosecitybanjoliers.com 

Inspirational Beets performs songs that echoed through the streets and shadows of America in the 1920s and 30s, during one of the most pivotal moments in the nation's history: Prohibition and The Great Depression. Influenced by musicians the likes of Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Bessie Smith, and Fats Waller, Inspirational Beets hope to bring a welcomed sound for all generations to enjoy within the vibrant Pacific Northwest scene. www.facebook.com/inspirationalbeets

Featuring art by Taylor Blackwell, Autumn Steam, Penpointred, Kel Ward, Azure Marie, Jami Moffett, Daniel Santollo, Phililp Patke, Michael Albury, FreshGhost, and Kyle Huntington.


Come hungry, there will be food carts from Da-Pressed Coffee, Viking Soul Food and Kitchen Dances. Kitchen Dances fuses seasonal northwest foods with Vegan and raw food cuisine. Viking Soul Food, is delicious, creative, super high quality food based around a versatile Norwegian potato flat bread known as LEFSE.



This show is free for the public to attend and suitable for all ages.

Emerge Underground April 27th!

Emerging Artist Magazine presents:

Emerge Underground our once-a-month, one night art show featuring works by emerging outsider and fringe artists from the Portland, Vancouver and Willamette Valley area. This show is free for the public to attend.

We will have face painting by Shawn Denise Semelsberger, accompanied by the deep house beats of DJ Broken.

Come see what the future of Portland's art culture looks like every final Friday. Emerge Underground features emerging artists from the Portland Metropolitan area. It is located at theSLATE in the NW Industrial District. The space is provided by NW Scion Events. The show is hosted by Emerging Artist Magazine.

Emerging Artist Magazine Presents: Emerge Underground

A monthly one night art show featuring works by emerging artists from the Portland, Vancouver and Willamette Valley area. With a special live painting by Taylor Blackwell.

The night will be set to an energetic vibe by DJ Emok and DJ Jonathan Christ. There will be live performance art as well.
We will raffle off an original painting on a skate deck by Davey Cadaver. Tickets are $1 each.
